BuildData Group – Invitation to presentation of results for the quarter from April to June 2022 on Wednesday 3 August 2022
Group leadership team put in place to optimise business performance, accelerate organic and acquired growth as trailblazers in residential construction SaaS.
Stockholm, Sweden—11th July 2022: BuildData Group AB (“BuildData”) today announced a new group management team led by Group CEO, Gustave Geisendorf. The newly formed team will be responsible for group commercial, finance, M&A and operational functions globally and comprises Bruce Morrison as Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO), Emily Hopson-Hill as Group Chief Technology and Operations Officer (Group CTO/COO), Maria Hudson as Group Chief Marketing Officer (Group CMO) and Alex Mathieson as Group Chief Revenue Officer (Group CRO).
Stefan Charette, BuildData Chairman said, “The changes we have made at a senior level will enable the successful development and growth of the BuildData Group, as we meet our ambitions to be the leading provider of construction SaaS solutions to the housebuilder and developer community. We have a huge opportunity as this sector increasingly is embracing tech to meet regulatory compliance and sustainability targets, while driving efficiencies and improving productivity, and this team is tasked to ensure we are the go-to brands for SaaS solutions.”
“As we have entered our new financial year, and hit a critical stage in our growth trajectory, it is imperative we have the right management team in place to drive the company forward as we build our position within the residential and property tech space. The team will work alongside me to meet sector demand, execute, and accelerate our business, as well as provide daily management of the BuildData brands including Zutec, Createmaster, Bond Bryan Digital and Resi-Sense. Construction and property remain two of the least digitized industries in the world and that presents a massive opportunity for us,” said Gustave Geisendorf, BuildData CEO.
With extensive experience in scaling SaaS and software companies, Emily Hopson-Hill joined Zutec in March 2021 as Chief Operations Officer and has been responsible for enhancing product and solutions, as well as implementing process and policies to promote company culture and vision. In her BuildData role, Emily will oversee solutions engineering, product, IT and development, technical implementation and digital services.
Bruce Morrison joined BuildData as CFO in October 2021, having been in finance and M&A leadership roles in publicly listed companies across the SaaS space for more than 20 years. Bruce will take responsibility for IR, financial control, and M&A for the group.
More recent hires, Maria Hudson as Group CMO and Alex Mathieson as Group CRO, will form a new commercial function within BuildData. Maria will be in in charge of brand marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, account-based marketing, and PR across the group’s brands. Alex will lead new business, account management, customer success and pre-sales.
Geisendorf continued, “This is a new era for BuildData and it’s a privilege to work with such accomplished individuals as we help shape the industry and take the next steps on our journey. With this new structure we are also organised to continue our growth through acquisitions. We have increased sales by 5 times over the past 2.5 years and we are now entering the next stage of that growth trajectory.”

BuildData Group – Invitation to presentation of results for the quarter from April to June 2022 on Wednesday 3 August 2022
Stockholm, Sweden—6th July 2022: BuildData Group AB (“BuildData”) today announced that its subsidiary Zutec has signed a 3-year enterprise agreement valued at SEK4.5m, with one the largest home construction companies in the UK, Taylor Wimpey. Operating at a local level with 23 regional businesses across the UK, Taylor Wimpey completed 14,087 new homes in 2021, from apartments to six-bedroom houses, with affordable housing representing 18% of their total completions.
Taylor Wimpey has selected the Zutec platform for quality management, which will be configured to support their drive towards Building Regulation 40, and Part L (or Approved Document L) compliance, a regulatory uplift that came into force on the 15th June 2022. Housebuilders and developers in England and Wales are now required to reduce CO2 emissions on all new houses by 31% compared to the previous SAP model. Over the next 12-months there is expected to be over 1000 Taylor Wimpey users and 240 projects running on Zutec.
Gustave Geisendorf, CEO of BuildData said: “With the raft of new and updated building regulations coming into force over the coming months and years—such as the uplifted Part L standard of Building Regulation 40, and the more rigorous Future Homes and Future Building Standard 2025—ensuring building energy efficiency and sustainability is front of mind for housebuilders and developers in their drive to carbon net neutrality by 2050.
“Regulation is pushing the construction industry through a period of change, and meeting quality standards to ensure compliance is a must. With ease of use and simplicity at its core, our quality management platform provides one place to document all building data and information. Users can take geo-located photos, ensure they can be traced and match projects, then shared with key stakeholders and inspectors to evidence compliance, as well as improve team communications, assignment of tasks and the ability close and sign off work and installations. After successfully completing a proof of concept, Taylor Wimpey chose Zutec for our capability to provide a configurable SaaS platform so they can meet the changing needs of regulation and always guarantee the best quality.”
