BuildData Group Signs SEK4.5m enterprise agreement with Taylor Wimpey

Stockholm, Sweden—6th July 2022:  BuildData Group AB (“BuildData”) today announced that its subsidiary Zutec has signed a 3-year enterprise agreement valued at SEK4.5m, with one the largest home construction companies in the UK, Taylor Wimpey. Operating at a local level with 23 regional businesses across the UK, Taylor Wimpey completed 14,087 new homes in 2021, from apartments to six-bedroom houses, with affordable housing representing 18% of their total completions.

Taylor Wimpey has selected the Zutec platform for quality management, which will be configured to support their drive towards Building Regulation 40, and Part L (or Approved Document L) compliance, a regulatory uplift that came into force on the 15th June 2022. Housebuilders and developers in England and Wales are now required to reduce CO2 emissions on all new houses by 31% compared to the previous SAP model. Over the next 12-months there is expected to be over 1000 Taylor Wimpey users and 240 projects running on Zutec.

Gustave Geisendorf, CEO of BuildData said: “With the raft of new and updated building regulations coming into force over the coming months and years—such as the uplifted Part L standard of Building Regulation 40, and the more rigorous Future Homes and Future Building Standard 2025—ensuring building energy efficiency and sustainability is front of mind for housebuilders and developers in their drive to carbon net neutrality by 2050.

“Regulation is pushing the construction industry through a period of change, and meeting quality standards to ensure compliance is a must. With ease of use and simplicity at its core, our quality management platform provides one place to document all building data and information. Users can take geo-located photos, ensure they can be traced and match projects, then shared with key stakeholders and inspectors to evidence compliance, as well as improve team communications, assignment of tasks and the ability close and sign off work and installations. After successfully completing a proof of concept, Taylor Wimpey chose Zutec for our capability to provide a configurable SaaS platform so they can meet the changing needs of regulation and always guarantee the best quality.”
